Twitter and I

My Twitter account:
https://twitter.com/Missy_laura19

Twitter is one of the most interesting social networking sites where you can meet people all over the world. At first, I found it difficult to use it due to the limited 140 characters you should stick to. However, I used to understand that you have to include only important and relevant points. Through this task, I get to know that Twitter is not only about telling people what you want or what you are doing, but to share relevant information about the world issues. It is also about raising awareness on issues that is affecting the world whether in a positive or negative way and this is becoming something very viral. The use of hashtags is the most interesting part of it because it clearly highlights what you want people to see and with the use of hashtags, it facilitates the search for the same type of issues around the post
 by various people.

However, for my blog, the first hashtags that I chose was #foodandwine. I chose this one because it appears very often and is very relevant to my post and my future posts. #foodandwine is becoming very an obsession among this new generation. Every one wants to know which one is the best for each food. People are coming up with the idea that there is such a thing as the ideal food and wine best match. Thus, the article that I tweeted and re-tweeted talks about why there is an obsession about food and wine pairing. Unfortunately, up to now I no one re-tweeted my post but I am waiting for any notification that I can get. This is a copy of the tweet: “Just Because wine enhances the food, the food enhances the wine!!! #FoodAndWine http://bit.ly/1VUFnzx  via @Moneyweb

Moreover, my second hashtags is about #wineandhealth, this one is very interesting though the article is short, it contains a quite lot of information about wine and health. This hashtags is the second, which appears most regarding my blog. We get tired of hearing that alcohol is dangerous for the health, but if you drink it moderately (2 glasses per day), it can be good for your health. Regrettably, this one too has get any comments or re-tweets, but I am looking forward for any notification that I get can in the future. This is a copy of my tweet: “People say that wine is good for health!!! Read about it :) #wineandhealth #redwineandhealth http://www.femalefirst.co.uk/health/red-wine-weight-loss-aid-883353.html …

Conversation with another wine blogger

Hi Michael,
I’ve enjoyed reading your posts about wine, mostly the benefits and the amazing facts that you mentioned in an early post. I, myself, just started a blog about wine because I am a wine lover. This post on “wine and sex” reminds me one of my posts that I wrote about the fact that wine acts as a social lubricant, specially, alcohol. When people share that glass of a well made and aged wine, this build a bridge in friendship and helps them discovering their soul.
The way you write it, is very amazing, the use of words and expression you used to describe how wine can leads to sexual pleasure to both men and women. What is interesting in your blog is that you do not stick to the reviewing of wine, which I can find in most wine blogs. I am not an expert in wine reviewing but I like the way you describe those wine. Your blog inspires me a lot to write more about wine. However, mine is more about a journey and experiences I can meet with.
I am looking forward to read more about your blog post. Keep it up.

Cheers

Laura.

What the point of scoring wines?

Let’s picture that scene: It is nearly the end of September and the day is mostly gone, but what’s most important is that summer will be there soon. You are about to eat a plate of juicy meat steak with a great mushroom sauce and next to you is a glass of red wine chilled for about fifteen minutes. This wine has got nothing special, not even its price, but the moment you sip, swirl, smell, it becomes one of the best wine you had ever tasted. I am sure you would give it a full marks if ever you are asked to rate it.
However, for me, as a matter of fact, I always drink a glass of Coral Reef Merlot 2011, when I eat a meat steak. Why this wine? Because one of the waited of La Balise Restaurant gave me the bottle as gift and for the time being, this is the only wine bottle that I do have.

“While there are perfect situations for specific wines, can you really say a wine is perfect?” (Lyons, 2015)
Well, this statement can be related to the taste, which can be very subjective.
Let’s see, if you take a glass of wine after a day full of work or better, while watching a sunset at Tamarin Bay, it is obvious that the taste would be different or better in whatever situation you can be at.
In the article posted by Will Lyons, in The WallStreet Journal, it can be read that there is always a constant debate about wine scoring amongst wine critics. However, for someone who is in lack of a discerning palate and is highly indecisive in choosing his or her wine would probably look at the price according to their budget and then choose the one with the name that seems more appealing. We should not forget that here in Mauritius wine is a lux for the Mauritian society because not every one can afford to buy a bottle of wine at Rs400 and above. But this is my point of view because at times it turns out to be my way of choosing a wine.
